Qui êtes-vous?
Le nom et l’historique de votre librairie.
My wife, Luci, and I were both students in the
english department at McGill. In 1973, after travelling around all summer
selling books out of a VW van in B.C. we decided to turn our living room on
Milton St. into an «underground» bookstore. We put a picture of George
Bernard Shaw in the window to indicate where it was. We often has poetry
readings at night. There were so many people coming and going that looked
very suspicious. Finally, we were raided by the police looking for drugs.

One morning I came out to walk my
dog to discover that the Chinese laundry next door, which has been there for 70
years, was for rent. It was not a big move. We have been very fortunate to have
there now for 28 years.
When I’m not in the store I like to go on long distance cycling trips.
